Prof. Bhakta Bahadur Ale is Academic and Research Program Consultant. He holdsMSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kharkov Automobile Highways Institute, USSR and a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Calgary, Canada. He had post-doctoral research at Western Michigan University, USA.
Prof. Ale has over 41 years of experience in teaching, research and consulting services. He started his career as a lecturer at Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University and retired as a professor. Among management positions he held are Head of Department at Pulchowk Campus, Campus Chief of Thapathali Campus and Director for Center for Applied Research and Development, Institute of Engineering. Among his notable consulting activities are formulating National Transport Policy 2072 (2014), Technology Needs Assessment Project, JICA Project on Strengthening Capacity of Tumba College of Technology in the Republic of Rwanda, Water and Energy Commission Project on Energy Resources Strategy Formulation of Nepal.
Prof. Ale’s fields of expertise are Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy Technologies, and areas of interest are automobile, biomass, solar thermal energy technologies and air pollution.
