Biography

Dr. Sujan Adhikari is an Electrical Engineering Consultant. He received his B.Eng. and M. Eng. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Apparatuses, Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University) in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He received PhD degree in power engineering from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2018. From 2010 to 2013, he was a Lecturer and later an Assistant Professor at Kathmandu University, Nepal. From 2018, he has been with Savvy Tech Pvt. Ltd. as the Executive Director (Energy Systems) and the co-founder. He has been a visiting faculty at Institute of Engineering (IOE)- Pulchowk Campus, Kathmandu University and Khwopa College of Engineering since 2018. He has published several research papers in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) conferences and journals and serves as a reviewer for different IEEE journals and conferences. His research interests are Microgrids, Application of Power Electronics to Power System, Renewable Energy and Energy Storages, Power Quality.

Dr. Sujan was a recipient of Nepal-Russia Bilateral Education Agreement Scholarship Award (2003-2010), UNESCO/ISEDC Co-Sponsored Fellowship Award (3 October 2012 – 28 October 2012 in Russian Federation) and Singapore International Graduate Award (2013-2017). He was the Chairman of International Students’ Union at Moscow Power Engineering Institute (2008-2009) and is the Co-ordinator of NTU Alumni Circle, Nepal. He is also the Treasurer of IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES), Nepal Chapter.
